Jimmie Dwayne Hunt

Jimmie Dwayne Hunt, age 55 of Rocky Mount, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 2, 2019 and was born at Martinsville Memorial Hospital on September 11, 1964. Mr. Hunt was a member of the Rocky Mount Jaycees. In April of 1985, he was recognized as the Outstanding Jaycee of the Quarter for exceptional contributions to chapter and community. He was a supervisor at MW Windows. He loved being outside taking care of his yard and having cookouts and he loved to see everybody around him happy and eating his good food. Jimmie never met a stranger no matter where he went. He was a wonderful man (and husband) with a heart of gold and always had a smile on his face and would give the shirt right off his back for anyone that needed it. He was also a very loving father. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jennifer Jane Plunkett; brother, Jamie Kane Hunt; uncle, Ross Hunt; and his grandparents on both his mother and father’s side. He is survived by his loving wifey, Ruby Diane Hunt; two sons, Christopher Wayne Coakley and Jagger Bayne Hunt; daughter, Ansleigh Lilliana Nicole Hunt; his parents, Edward and Carolyn Hunt; and by numerous family and friends and each one held a special place in his heart. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses. Services will be private.
