Jimmy Lee Custer born September 1, 1936 passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 25, 2021. He was owner of Custer’s Body Shop, Deacon at
Bethany COB, and sponsored and coached baseball and softball teams for many years. He loved his players like he loved his own children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Rosa lee Custer; and mother-in-law, Josie Gibson. Surviving to cherish the memory of her best friend is his loving, devoted wife of 64 years, Janet Gibson Custer; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Doris Custer; sister, Janet Jamison; brother-in-law, Billy Gibson; sisters-in-law, Louise Gibson and Mozelle Gibson; children, Debbie and Mike Dillon, Tina and Rickey Cale, Allen and Laura Custer; grandchildren, Johnny and Sandy, Amy and Shawn, Heather and Josh, Sarah and Ray, Emily and Ryan, Seph and Adrienne, Brianna and Tommy, Kevin; great-grandchildren, Slate, Cheyenne and Cole, Savannah and Tyler, Shawna, Jack, Vivi, Owen, Troy, Wyatt, Russell; and great-great- granddaughter, Teeghan; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. This is not a goodbye, we’ll see you soon.
Due to the resurgence of COVID-19 and its variant, the service and visitation will be private. His burial will be in the Custer Family Cemetery.
