Joanne Altice

January 2, 1952 — June 28, 2020

She Entered HIS Courts With Praise Yesterday my mom received the greatest gift a Christian could receive. She passed away leaving all of the pain, paralysis, speech, swallowing, and discomfort that she has had here in the flesh for the last eighteen years. However, she left a testimony of an obedient daughter with a servants heart, being a prayer warrior for others, and having steadfast non discriminating love for everyone. Our hearts are indescribably hurting but so joyful that she is with the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, her Father in Heaven. If you read this and are going through something hard and are struggling to find peace or joy, please reach out. I couldn’t have made it without others lifting me up in prayer. If you don’t understand how to have joy in death, please reach out, because there is an assured way to have it. My mom would want me to reach out and say this and offer help to anyone that wants to know how to have it. I want to use the lessons that she instilled in me throughout my life through the scriptures to tell others about the Lord, and how he gave His life for us, so we can have ETERNAL life. Friday night at UVA, I could not sleep and I just kept praying and I couldn’t seem to focus on that either. I got back up and cut on the light and opened the Bible with no direction, I started reading James Chapter 1. Here is a couple verses that stuck out: 1:2,3 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 1:12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him. My mom overcame many trials throughout her life even before the sickness eighteen years ago. Her Faith and Love for the Lord helped her through these times. Please lift my dad and family up in prayer during the next few weeks. Love in Christ ❤️ Nancy “Joanne” Lax Altice age 68 of Callaway went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 28, 2020.
