John Lewis

John Johnny L. Yopp, Jr. age 40 of Franklin County and Roanoke died Saturday, July 24. He was born Jan. 3, 1970 to the late John Lewis and Nellie Sloan Yopp. He was a member of Lamplight Baptist Church. Surviving are his brother Mike Yopp (Elizabeth); sister Sarah Chitwood; half sister Sue Jewell; a very special friend, Debbie LaBiosa & family; uncles, Arthur (Jan) Sloan, Tommy Beckner, Joe Yopp, Howard Yopp and Simon Gibson, one aunt, Faye Carter; wife Nikki L. Yopp; special friends John and Vivian Foley, Violet Moran and family, Hi Wheeler; many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel Thursday, July 29 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Conner Bowman Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 220 @ Wirtz Rd., Rocky Mount, VA. (540)334-5151.
