John Wayne Perdue

John Wayne Perdue, age 70 of Wirtz passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016 in a Roanoke hospital. John retired from Ingersoll-Rand as a Machinist and worked several years at Capp after retirement. He was born March 23, 1945 a son of the late John Henry and Doris Poindexter Perdue. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Geraldine Perdue; and a granddaughter, Audrey Rose Perdue. He is survived by his brother, Allen Lane Perdue; son, John Christopher Perdue; daughter, Lisa Jean-Marie (Gary); grandson, John Riley Perdue; and a granddaughter, Gabrielle Jean-Marie. Funeral services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Home Chapel 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2016 with Pastor Rick Poland officiating. Interment will be private. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning 1 p.m. at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 62 VA Market Place Drive (Route 220 at Wirtz Road) Rocky Mount. www.connerbowman.com
