John Thomas Rose

John Thomas Rose, age 83, of Rocky Mount, VA went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 13, 2017. He was born August 21, 1933 the son of the late Eli Rose and Roseanna Lester Rose. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Spangler, Edith Coleman, Minerva Kell. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving in the Korean War. He retired from the City of Salem. Surviving are wife, Shirley Ann Rose; two sons, Tim Rose (Brenda Charlene), Bruce Rose (Cindy); grandson, Logan Rose; three sisters, Pat Hall (Cecil), Ruth Neece, Susie Stamper (Ed); three brothers, Ralph Rose (Ruth), Danny Rose (Donna), David Rose; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Monday at Lynch Conner Bowman Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Pasley officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Ivy Christian Church Cemetery.
