John B. Shreve

John Bernard Shreve “Johnny”, age 81 of Wirtz, took his heavenly Flight home on Sunday, May 26, 2013. He was met at the gates to welcome him home by his parents, Herbert Lee Shreve and Ocie Pratt Shreve and Sister and Brother-in-Law, Maxine and Allen Jessup. Johnny served his country in the US Air Force for six years during the Korean War. Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 38 years, Joyce Sink Shreve; Children, Randy Shreve, Vicky Morgan (Dennis), Barry Carter (Faye), Ricky Carter (Sonya); Grandchildren, Donnie Shreve, Timmy Whitlock (Rachel), B. J. Carter, Richie Carter (Lesley), Amy Johnson (Bryan); Great-Grandchildren, Chris, Chase & Cainan Carter, Mason, Breaden & Berkley Johnson; Brother, Russell Shreve (Charlotte); and Sister Blanche Yates (Lester). Funeral Services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel (Rt.220) on Wednesday, May 29 at l:00 pm with Pastor George Stevenson and Dr. Billy Shively officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
