Joseph D. Amicucci

Joseph D. Amicucci, age 76 of Hardy and formerly of Mahopac, New York went to be with the Lord Saturday, July 12, 2014. He was born September 18, 1937 to the late Americo Amicucci, Sr. and Frances T. Amicucci. In addition to his parents, Joseph was also preceded in death by brothers Anthony and Victor Amicucci. He was a life member of the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department and the North American Fishing Club in New York where he retired after 28 years of service as a janitor with the public school system. Some of his passions in life was fishing, tinkering on old cars and most importantly his two pet Shelties Lisa and Little bit who also preceded him in death in 2013. Surviving are his brothers and sister, Andrew Amicucci (Diane), Connie Norcia (John), and Americo Amicucci, Jr.; sisters-in-law Elnetta Amicucci and Barbara Amicucci; many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday from Red Valley United Methodist Church with Pastor Joshua King officiating. His family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service from 12-1 p.m. Friday at the church.In lieu of flowers, his family asks that donations be made to Red Valley United Methodist Church, 30 Red Valley Rd., Boones Mill, VA 24065.
