Joseph A. Danis, Jr. age 77 of Rocky Mount, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013. He was born November 3, 1935 to the late Joseph A. Danis, Sr. and Violet Rose Mahaffy Danis. Mr. Danis served his country four years in the United States Marine Corps. Surviving are his loving wife of 49 years Fern Danis; daughter Donna Housman (Danny); sons Joseph Danis, III (Heather), Russell Danis (Dana), Jonathan Danis; 10 grandchildren; brothers and sisters Sylvia Fuller (Frank), James Danis, Sr. (JoAnn), Kathy Williams (Graham), Steven Danis (Elaine). In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3723B Franklin Road Roanoke, VA 24012.
