Josephine Angle Price

Josephine Angle Price, age 78, of Rocky Mount, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2012. She was born January 9, 1934 to the late Alpheus Henry Angle and Elizabeth Powell Angle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, 3 sisters, and four brothers. Jo was a life member of Rocky Mount United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the church choir for 63 years. She also was a diehard Redskins and UVA fan and loved playing Bridge. After retiring from the Telephone Company where she worked for 30 plus years, she enjoyed traveling with her sister and their family. Surviving are her daughters Anne Price Keller (Mike), Raphine, VA, Carolyn Price Davis, Appomattox, VA; Sister Patricia Adams, Richmond, VA; Grandchildren Jessica Lowry (James Truxell), Erin Lowry, Ashley and Jason Hudson, Scott Davis; 6 Great-Grandchildren; Special Friend, Wanda Price; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rocky Mount United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be conducted from Rocky Mount United Methodist Church 1:00 pm Thursday with Rev. Bruce Tuttle officiating. Interment will follow in the High Street Cemetery in Rocky Mount. Following the interment, there will be a meal in at the church in the fellowship Hall.
