Joshua Lee Hodges “Josh” of Franklin CO, VA. Went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 1, 2016 following a tragic vehicle accident. He was 16 yrs old. Josh loved to hunt with his special cousin J.C. Hodges, fish, spend time with friends and his favorite football team, The Dallas Cowboys! He was a hardworking, intelligent young man and wore a smile that would light up a room. Josh was a junior at Franklin County High School. He is survived by his parents: Lee and T.J. Hodges; one sister, Amber Faye Hodges “AKA-BabyGirl” who loved her big brother; maternal grandparents, Faye Houser and Gene Guthrie of Roanoke, VA; paternal grandmother, Janice Hodges of Rocky Mount; aunts and uncles, Angel and Steven Hodges of Rocky Mount, Sandra and Brian Williams, Tammy Shillings all of Roanoke, Michael Houser; numerous cousins and special friends, Brenda Lackey, Gabriel Wimmer, Dakota Campbell, and Hunter Robertson. Josh was preceded in death by his “pawpaw” Paten Thomas Hodges. Funeral Arrangements are being handled by Conner-Bowman Funeral Home- Rt. 220, Rocky Mount, VA. Visitation will be Thursday, October 6 from 5-8pm and services Friday October 7 at 3pm in the chapel. Josh will be laid to rest at his family home in Henry, VA, a place where he dearly loved. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to help cover Josh’s expenses and can be mailed to; 340 Stage Coach Dr, Henry, VA 24102.
