Julius Eugene Jamison, Sr. age 77 of Ferrum died Sunday, March 14, 2010 at his home. He was born August 8, 1932 a son of the late Amos W. and Hattie Stump Jamison and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Janet; three children, Julia Jamison Gwaltney and husband Leland, South Hill, Jannie Jamison Furrow and husband Greg, Ferrum, Julius Eugene (J.E.) Jamison, Jr. and wife Melinda, Ferrum; six grandchildren, Jason Gwaltney, Daniel Gwaltney, Jordan Jamison, Chelsea Furrow, Bennett Jamison and Cole Jamison; one nephew, Melvin Jamison, Beckley, West Virginia; one niece, Vera Mae Jamison Skiles, Bradley, West Virginia. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2010 with Pastors Ray Bayse and Melvin Jamison officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park with military honors.
