Junior "Pete" Holland

Junior Alvis Holland “Pete”, 81 of Wirtz, went home to be with the Lord on December 12, 2014. Pete was born on May 20, 1933 to the late Jube Lee and Dulcie Dillon Holland of Franklin County and worked 40 years at Vinton Weaving Mill. Pete was a faithful Baptist who read his bible every day until he became sick. He is preceded in death by his first wife Ruby Pagans Holland; two brothers and five sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Shirley Hudson Holland; son Bobby Holland and grandson Greg Holland and his girlfriend Amanda Adkins; brother Lewis Holland and sister-in-law Bernice Holland; Sister and brother-in-law Maggie and Roy Dillon of Glade Hill; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be conducted from Conner Bowman Funeral Home (Rt. 220 Chapel) on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Eddie Hawks and Rev. David Burgess officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park in Boones Mill.
