Kenneth E. Eckles

Kenneth E. Eckles, 85, of Rocky Mount, VA passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lela Eckles; three sisters and an infant daughter. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Geneva Anderson Eckles; two sons, Buddy Eckles (Wanda), Michael Eckles (Teena); three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Bobby Anderson, Robert Arbuckle; a special friend, Sarah Denton. Kenneth was in the U. S. Air Force and served in Korea. He met Geneva and married her on her birthday, September 5, 1953. He retired from Mechanical Development Company after 47 years of service. Kenneth enjoyed bowling, flea markets and collecting, especially coins, guns and knives. His family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Conner Bowman Funeral Home (Route 220). A graveside service will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Mountain View Memorial Park with Rev. Bruce Huffman officiating.
