Larry Bob Gillispie

Larry Bob Gillispie, 69, of Ferrum, VA passed away Friday, March 4, 2022. He was born April 10, 1952 the son of the late Roy Gillispie. Also preceded in death by a sister, Carol Jane Guilliams; niece, Michelle; numerous aunts and uncles. Larry loved the outdoors. He was an advocate hunter. He loved farming and listening to old time music especially the Dry Hill Draggers. Surviving are his mother, Harriet Gillispie; foster sister, Judy James (Jeff); several nieces, Wendy, Melissa, Jennifer, Ashley; cousins and best friends, Jamie Boyd, Randall Gillispie, Troy Midkiff. The family would like to thank Ferrum Rescue Squad and Fire Department for their help. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday at Lynch Conner Bowman Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Collins officiating. Interment will follow in the Quinn Family Cemetery, Ferrum, VA. The family will receive friends Monday morning from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. before the service starts at the funeral home.
