Leslie Robert "Bobby" Grindstaff

Leslie Robert Grindstaff (Bobby), age 85, of Franklin County passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at his home. He was born on May 3, 1932 son of the late Gus and Nora Grindstaff. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Christine Eanes Grindstaff, two sisters, Jane Grindstaff and Georgie Anderson; five brothers, Paul, Zade, Ed, Mack and John Grindstaff. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and founder of Grindstaff Underground Utilities. Surviving are one sister, Shirley Hammock; three children, Dean Grindstaff (Patty), Lori Grindstaff Porter (Steve), Wade Grindstaff; five grandchildren, Travis, Shane Grindstaff, Tristan Grindstaff, Kristina Porter Guilliams (Jamie), Abigail Porter; two great grandchildren, Kayleigh and Addie Guilliams. Bobby will be remembered for being a great husband, father, grandfather and friend. He had a kind and loving spirit for everyone he met. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Conner Bowman Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Steele officiating. After service he will be laid to rest beside Chris in the family cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 P.M at the funeral home before the service starts.
