Linda Jean Dudley Pinckard (September 25, 1946 - October 5, 2024) lived a beautiful, dignified life. A discerning woman, she provided comfort and solace while asking little in return. She was a fierce believer in integrity, loyalty, generosity and compassion, imbuing those traits to her family so they had the confidence necessary to pursue life with a pervasive, positive contagious fervor.
Linda was born and raised in Rocky Mount, Virginia. She graduated from Franklin County High School and Ferrum College. Upon graduation she worked for several attorneys in the area before moving to Key West Florida in 1995 where she launched and ran two successful businesses. Linda was excellent with all details and holding others accountable to the same high standard she held herself to in life.
Linda loved her family, watching old movies, dancing, and pottery shopping with her friends. She was a dedicated friend to many and would always support her family and friends in the times you needed someone the most. Linda never met a stranger and had a gift to strike up a conversation with anyone, often learning and retaining meaningful details from just a single conversation. Linda was also a dedicated supporter of St. Jude’s, Wounded Warrior and Tunnel to Towers generously donating to the causes she so passionately believed would make the world a better place.
Linda is survived by her sons and daughter in laws Benjamin L. Pinckard, Jr (Mary Lynch-Pinckard) and Noel W. Pinckard (Laura Jorden Pinckard). Her grandsons Benjamin R. Pinckard, Matthew Pinckard, and Vaughn Pinckard. Her sister Nancy Lamkin (James) and sister in law Linda Dudley as well as many nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded to heaven by her parents Henry Lee Dudley and Mildred Powell Dudley, her brother Richard Dudley and nephew Edward Lamkin.
