Lionel J. "Pete" Williams III age 75 of Moneta, VA and formerly of Bradley Beach, New Jersey passed away at his home on Sunday, February 26, 2017.
Lionel was a well-known Electrician and Lobster Fisherman in New Jersey earning the trade name as “Lobstertrician” prior to moving to Virginia. He was an avid NASCAR fan and lived to hunt, fish and play poker.
He was born September 27, 1941 a son of the late Lionel J., Jr. and Phyllis Rider Williams. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Johnson.
Surviving are his wife, Judith A. Williams; children, Lori Ann Hayes (Bobby) of Virginia, Lionel J. Williams IV of California, and William Haymaker of Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Dillon J. Hayes, Jessalyn M. Hayes both of Virginia, Donyelle Baker, Pennsylvania; great-grandson, Calbe Baker, Pennsylvania; sisters, Linda Furlong (Eugene), New Jersey, Debbie Britton (Mark), New Jersey; many nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorial contributions be made in his name to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or Rettsyndrome.org, 4600 Devitt Drive

Funeral services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Home Chapel 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2017.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service beginning at 12:00 Noon until service time.
