Lonie Ethel Quinn Midkiff

Lonie Ethel Quinn Midkiff, age 94, of Ferrum passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015. She was born March 16, 1920 the daughter of the late Nancy Addie Emberson Quinn and Johnny Pete Quinn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton O. Midkiff; daughter-in-law, Betty Marie Midkiff; sisters and brothers, Dorothy Q. Boyd, Lucy O. Q. Crum, Luther A. Quinn, Elmer Quinn, twins, Bonnie and Bunyon Quinn, Waylon Quinn. She loved to sew, crafts and quilts; was a Sunday School teacher at Story Creek Baptist Church; also loved the Dry Hill Draggers and Good Ole Times Country Music. Surviving are son, Troy O. Midkiff; grandson, Chester O. Midkiff; caretaker, her niece, Carol Jane Gillispie Guilliams; sister, Harriet Q. Gillispie; brother, Basil Quinn; a lot of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday at Lynch Conner Bowman Funeral Home with Rev. Truly Trammell officiating. Interment will follow in the Quinn Family Cemetery.
