Lori Jane Ordway

Lori Jane Ordway, 61, of Wirtz, Virginia went into eternal rest at her home on Friday, March 17, 2017. Lori was born in Springfield, Vermont on July 26, 1955 and raised in Newport, New Hampshire. She was a loving, caring, and generous sister & aunt. Working various jobs she prided herself most serving our country in the US Army. During her 5 years enlisted she was awarded several distinguished awards including the Army Achievement Medal and Good Conduct Medal. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jane Emerson Ordway. She is survived by her father, Floyd William Ordway Sr.; her brother, Floyd “Skip” Ordway Jr., her twin sister and best friend, Lana Ordway, all of Wirtz; her brother and sisters-in-law, Bruce Ordway and his wife Barbara, of Fredericksburg, David Ordway and his wife Heidi, Chesapeake, Fred Ordway and his wife Patricia “Patti”, of Litchfield, NH, and Neil Ordway and his wife Dana, of Wirtz; six nieces; seven nephews; one grandniece; two grandnephews; and her beloved best friend Rebecca “Becky” Agee of Roanoke. A memorial Celebration of Life will be conducted at the graveside, Old Liberty Cemetery in Wirtz on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Nicholas Mammi officiating. Following the graveside service, the family will receive friends at the Ordway Home, 5941 Booker T. Washington Hwy (Next to the cemetery). The family will accept flowers at the home or through the funeral home.
