Louise Martin Turner Smith

Louise Martin Turner Smith, age 96, of Rocky Mount passed away Friday, January 3, 2014. She was born July 11, 1917 the daughter of the late Dorsey D. Martin and Daisy Davis Martin. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Wilbert Turner and Carl Odell Smith. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Beatrice Robertson, Mary Ross Craig, Christine Hall; three brothers Lynwood Martin, Ford Martin, Webster Martin. She was a long time member of Fort Trail Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Anita Johnson and husband, Carl of Glade Hill; two grandsons, Chris Johnson and wife, Georginea, Bryan Johnson and wife, Amy ; five great grandchildren, Courtney, Mason, Conner, Braeden, Berkley all of Glade Hill; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday at Lynch Conner Bowman Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph “Joey” McNeill officiating. Interment will follow in Henry Memorial Park.
