Luther "Squeaky" Hodges

Luther “Squeaky” Hodges, 82 of Rocky Mount, VA., passed away November 18, 2017. He was born December 17, 1934 to the late Albert and Ella Hodges. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Hodges. Mr. Hodges was a member of Fairmont Baptist Church in Boones Mill and was a farmer and a cattle trucker. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 50 years, Mary Poff Hodges; three children, Donna J. Hale, Guy Eddie Hodges (Christine A. Hodges), and Barbara Hodges Beach (Jason Beach); grandchildren, Jaime Johnson, Jennifer Layne, Katherine Hodges, Nicholas Hodges, Corey and Jordan Beach, Peyton Beach, and Keaton Beach; sister-in-law, Betty Prillaman; and special niece Wanda Prillaman. Funeral services will be conducted at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home (Rt. 220 Chapel) 2:00 PM Monday, November 20, 2017, with Pastor Mike Stump and Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Fairmont Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family 2:00-4:00 PM and again 6:00-8:30 PM Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the funeral home.
