Lydia Anne Armstrong

Lydia Anne Armstrong, age 75, of Rocky Mount passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013. She was born February 16, 1938 the daughter of the late William Greene Fennell and Rosa Walton Fennell. Surviving are her husband of 55 years, James (Jim) Armstrong of Rocky Mount; daughter, Susan Ferris of Roanoke; two sons, J. C. Armstrong of Warner Robins, Georgia, Wayne Armstrong of Polson, Montana; five grandchildren, Pamela, Kim, Winona, Kim, Allison, Wayne, Jr.; two great grandchildren; brother, Charles Fennell of Palatka, Florida; sister, Lorene Grandy of Hope Sound, Florida; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Franklin Memorial Park with Dr. Philip Ayers officiating. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to K-9’s For Warriors, 260 S.
