Lynn Allen English

Lynn Allen English, 68, of Boones Mill, originally of Bent Mountain, VA, passed away on the 24th of April, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas J. and Vencie Holt English, brother Tommy H. English, and beloved brother-in-law Jimmy Lancaster. Surviving are his sister, Joanne Lancaster, children; Justin Lynn English (Tammy), Leslie Gordon (Adam), Tina Dooley (Mike), Jessica Morris (Sam), niece Tracy Lancaster, nephew Kurt Lancaster, and grandchildren; Allie, Shaelynn, Sage, Maddie, Evie, Lacie, Olivia, Pearl, and Connor. He also leaves behind his best friend in the world, his loyal dog Chloe. Lynn was a resilient man. He worked hard to provide for his family but he also liked to have fun and never missed an opportunity to share a joke or play a prank on someone. He was an endearing man who leaves behind many close friends. Lynn served 6 years in the Virginia National Guard and served as the Fire Chief of Bent Mountain Volunteer Fire Department in the early 1980s. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was proud of his long career as a truck driver. Our family would like to thank the staff in unit 2 at Franklin Healthcare and Rehab for their tireless care and genuinely abundant love. Due to the mandates placed by our Governor over the COVID-19 Pandemic, graveside services will be private in Sherwood Memorial Park with Pastor Alpheus Atkins officiating.
