Mabel Elaine McKillip

Mabel Elaine McKillip, age 63, of Rocky Mount, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Hollie O. II and Nora Mummert Jenkins. Mrs. McKillip was a member of Faith Fellowship Church and was a tax preparer for many years. She graduated from Watterson College, Louisville, Kentucky Cum Laude May 1983 majoring in Business Administration and minoring in Accounting. She is survived by her husband, Robert L. (Bob) McKillip of the home; son, Robert Lorne McKillip, Ferrum; daughter, Jennifer Elaine McKillip of the home; brother Hollie O. Jenkins III (Laurie), Spencer, Oklahoma; sisters, Dorthea Jean Sturgeon (Robert), Lawrenceburg, Indiana and Linda Faye Terrell (Steve), Scottsburg, Indiana; one grandson, Joshua Caleb Shepperd McKillip. A celebration of her life will be conducted from Faith Fellowship Church 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 2016 with Pastor Gary Hoffman officiating.
