Mable Sharree Carter

Mable Sharree Carter, a faithful soldier in Christ’s Army, departed this life to rest with our Lord & Savior in her heavenly home on Sunday, April 13, 2014 after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis at Trinity Mission Nursing Center. The 2nd of Eleven children, Sharree was born August 3, 1945 in Stuart Va., where she attended Patrick County Schools. She was a faithful worshipper at New Hope Baptist Church and later joined Mt. Sinai Apostolic Church. Sharree was preceded in death by her late husband Harvey Lee Roosevelt Carter, her father and mother Frank & Ollie Mable Thomas, her brother Billy Thomas and her sister Mildred Ceasar. Left to celebrate her home going are Three children; Jeffrey A. Carter of Jarratt, Va, Patricia E. Carter (Calvin) of Chesapeake, Va and Terri L. Easley-Witcher (Sherman) of Rocky Mount, Va; Seven grandchildren Marcus A. (Ray Nash) Martin of Portsmouth, VA, Destini L. Easley of Roanoke, Justan B. Witcher of Rocky Mount, Marco A. Martin of Manhattan, NY, Chelseah N. Witcher of Rocky Mount, Sheldon X. Witcher of Rocky Mount, Sherman D. Witcher, Jr. of Rocky Mount and Two great grandchildren Dominic Aiden Vitullo and Noomi Camden Bertrand; Four brothers James “Tump” Thomas, Charlie (Elaine) Thomas, Albert (Shelia) Thomas all of Stuart, Va. and Danny (Pauline) Thomas of Beaverton, Oregon Four sisters Marilyn (Richard) Fuller of Richmond, Va., Frankie (Jimmie) France of Ridgeway, Va., Mary Rivers of Denton, Texas and Marcia (Sammy) Halimi of Dallas, Texas and a host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Funeral services will be conducted from New Hope Baptist Church, New Hope Rd. Stuart, VA 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. H. Douglas Scales officiating. Her family will be receiving friends from 1:30- 2.p.m prior to the service at the church.
