Margaret Ruth Kinsley

God called an angel home. Margaret Ruth Kinsley passed away quietly in her home Friday April 13, 2018. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Harvey Kinsley; her parents, John and Margaret Howard; two brothers, Wayne Howard and John (Johnny) Howard, Jr.; two sons, Eddie Smith and Mark Smith. She is survived by her children, Timmy, David, Mary, Sally, Sonny, Sherri; brothers and sisters, Marvin Howard (Lillie), Bonnie Cregar (Arnold), Brenda Obert, Dwight Howard, Larry Howard (Judy), Tommy Howard (Tammy), Tammy Robertson (Johnny); several grandchildren; 3 special grandchildren, Markie, Heather, and Michael (who thought of her as Mom); several great-grandchildren; one special great-grandson, Trey; and many nieces and nephews. Margaret worked at Lane Furniture Company for years. In her later years she enjoyed working at Carl's Restaurant. A very special thank you to Carilion Hospice Nurses, Helen and Karen. Funeral Services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home (Town Chapel) 2:00 PM Monday with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Community Church Cemetery in Penhook. Her family will be receiving friends Monday before the service from 12:00 – 2:00 at Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home, 140 Floyd Avenue, Rocky Mount, VA 24151.
