Margaret Hall Rakes

Margaret Hall Rakes, age 80 of Rocky Mount passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010. She was born May 9, 1930, a daughter of the late Clarence W. and Alice Hodges Hall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband and friend, Zellar Rakes; two brothers, Claude and Bill Hall; and sister, Cora Hodges. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law Ann and Randy Jefferson; son, Mark Rakes and Friend Sherin; granddaughter, Jennifer Clary and husband Mike; special nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the entire staff of Unit 1 and Housekeeping at Franklin Healthcare, and special friend and Minister Ronald Coleman. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Thursday, November 4, 2010 with Pastor Ronald Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Henry Fork Church of the Brethren Building Fund.
