Marie Fralin Shively

Marie Fralin Shively, of Rocky Mount peacefully passed away Thursday, March 17, 2011 in Lewis-Gale Medical Center after a long illness. She was a long-time member of Rocky Mount Christian Church and was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Mabel Fralin; and her brother, Clarence Fralin. Marie is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Curtis H. Shively; her twin sister, Margie Akers (Ralph); sister, Virginia Hodges (Lloyd); sister-in-law, Janice Bollings (Basil); brother-in-law, T. Wayne Shively (Treva); niece, Linda Griffith (Gary); nephew, Ricky Fralin (Sarah); many other family members and friends. Funeral services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel, 2 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2011 with the Rev. Matthew Ricks officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made in Maries name to Rocky Mount Christian Church, 120 South Main Street, Rocky Mount, VA 24151 or to a charity of your choice.
