Marlene Elizabeth Love

Marlene Elizabeth Nolen Love, age 79, of Rocky Mount, passed away Monday, November 25, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Otha “Drum” and Mae T. Nolen. She was also preceded in death by her brother Harmon Nolen. Mrs. Love retired from DuPont with 31 years of service. Marlene was very creative. She loved to paint, craft and was a Classy Lady who loved life. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, James Love; Wonderful Caregivers, Evelyn Strange, Doris Hodges, Sarah Piechota, Wanda Dykstra, and Ashley Read; Several Beloved Nieces, Nephews, and other family members; Special Canine Companions, Buddy Love and Molly Love. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Victory Baptist Church, 1300 Dillons Fork Road, Fieldale, VA 24089 or Planned Pethood of Franklin County, 17068 Virgil H. Goode Highway, Rocky Mount, VA 24151. Funeral Services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, November 26, 2013 with Rev. Dan Schelling officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the service, Tuesday, October 26 at Conner- Bowman Funeral Home, Rt. 220 location, 62 VA Market Place Drive, Rocky Mount, VA.
