Mary E. Davis Carr

Mary E. Davis Carr, age 88 of Glade Hill passed away at her home on Saturday, August 18, 2018. She was born April 29, 1930 a daughter of the late Squire Richard and Lelia Aliff Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alton H. Carr; a son, Bruce Carr; great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Byrd; and her great-grandson, Cameron Byrd. She is survived by her sons, Richard Carr (Linda) and Shannon Carr (Kathy); daughter, Dawn Carr; 11 grandchildren, Jeremy Harper, Ray Harper, Jennifer Smith, Ben Carr (Deana Wray), Shena Carr (Chad McDaniel), Andrea Wray (Jace), Lisa Dudley (Daren), Hannah Carr, Bruce Carr, DeeDee Duncan and Johnathan Tate; nine great-grandchildren, Olivia Byrd, Christian Wray, Blake Smith, Brayden St Clair, Gracie Dudley, Chloe Dudley, Christine Widener, Hunter Harper and Trent Harper; other family members, her church family and many friends. Funeral services will be conducted from Rocky Mount Church of God 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2018 with Pastor Robert Meredith officiating. Interment will follow in the Davis Family Cemetery in Redwood. Her family will receive friends Tuesday, August 21st from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
