Mary Izetta White

Mary Izetta White age 78 of Rocky Mount passed away at her home on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Mary was a retired Registered Nurse at Roanoke Memorial for 42 years and was a member of Antioch Church of the Brethren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all She was born on April 12, 1943, a daughter of the late Kyle and Effie Purdy. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Barry Purdy. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 44 years, James White; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Ashley White; daughter, Tana White; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. A celebration of her life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, July 30, 2021 at Antioch Church of the Brethren with Pastors Eric Anspaugh and Andy Duffy officiating.
