Mary Spangler Jamison

Mary Spangler Jamison, 88 of Boones Mill, went to be with the Lord November 1, 2012. She was born December 20, 1923, daughter of the late John Harvey and Minnie Wimmer Spangler. Mrs. Jamison was a member of Boones Mill Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She loved her family, friends, church, nature and animals but her true passion was traveling. She was also preceded in death by her husband R. C. “Bob” Jamison; brother, Lee Roy Spangler; and two sisters, Beulah Claflin and Virginia Mills. She is survived by two Nieces, Sandra E. Mills, Norma E. Cox; four Nephews Dennis M. Mills, Emory W. Evans (Annette), Jerry Evans (Faye), Ronald Evans (Ellen); Six Great Nieces and Nephews; Twelve Great-Great Nieces and Nephews; Nine Great-Great-Great Nieces and Nephews; Sister-in-Law Marguerite Spangler, and her Cat, Black Jack. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Franklin County Humane Society, 18401 Virgil Goode Highway, Rocky Mount, VA 24151 or the Charity of your Choice. Funeral Services will be conducted from Boones Mill Baptist Church on Sunday, November 4 @ 2:00 P.M. with Dr. Richard Harrell officiating.
