Mary Jane Thomas

Mary Jane Thomas, age 66 of Boones Mill passed away Tuesday in Lewis-Gale Medical Center. She recently retired from Carter Bank and Trust with 26 years of dedicated service. She was a faithful and active member of Faith Fellowship and will be remembered for her love of the Lord, her husband, children, grandchildren and her many friends and church family. Mary Jane was born on November 7, 1949 a daughter of the late Milton and Olene Garner Warren from Newport, North Carolina; and she was also preceded in death by a son, Joel Matthew Thomas. She is survived by her husband, Joe Thomas; sons, Patrick Marion Thomas and Micah Warren Thomas; her grandchildren, Kiera Hope Lee and Graham West Thomas; brothers, Michael Warren (Denise), Tennessee and Mark Warren (Diane), California; brother-in-law, Roy Thomas, Jr. (Patti); nieces and nephews, Madelaine, Emily, Shawn, Jacob (Tilly) and Jason (Rachel). She is also survived by Beth Lanehart, other family members, friends and her church family. Mary Jane’s family has requested for memorial contribution be made in her name to Faith Fellowship, 100 Wirtz Road, Wirtz, Virginia 24184. A memorial service celebrating her life will be conducted from Faith Fellowship Church 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2016 with Pastors Gary Hoffman, Diane Hoffman and Josh Cokendolpher officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
