Mary Elizabeth Jenkins

Mary E. Divers Jenkins, age 93 of Rocky Mount passed away Thursday, January 7, 2010 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, James (Russell) Jenkins; a son, James (Peanut) Jenkins, Jr.; son-in-law, J.C. Jones; and three brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Clara Anne Hale (Lawrence); son, George (Jay) Jenkins (Sandy); daughter-in-law, Vivian M. Jenkins; four grandchildren, Lonnie Jones, Mary C. Tyler, David and Gary Jenkins; five great-grandchildren. She was loved by many more people and was a grandma to all. A special thanks to her caregivers Lonnie Jones and Evonne Scott and ladies with hospice; her T.V. cartoons buddy, Malachi Scott. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 9, 2010 with Dr. Jackie Spence officiating. Interment will follow in Red Valley United Methodist Church Cemetery.
