Mary Alberta Moore

Mary Alberta “Berta” Moore, age 86, of Wirtz, VA passed away Wednesday night, June 18, 2014. She was born September 21, 1927 the daughter of the late Albert Moore and Molly Minnix Moore. Berta was a farmer her whole life. Surviving are niece, Jane Waters of Abingdon, VA; five great nephews, J. R. Young of Portland, Oregon, Christopher Mark Moore of Abingdon, VA, Christian Patrick Moore of Chicago, Illinois, Trey Waters of Raleigh, North Carolina, Jason Waters of Birmingham, Alabama; many close friends of the farming community. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Lynch Conner Bowman Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Dawson officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park.
