Mary Edith Poff

Mary Edith Yates Poff, age 86 of Rocky Mount and formerly of Vinton, went to be with her Lord, Thursday, September 3, 2015. She loved her dogs, and operated her own dog business out of her home in Vinton for quite a number of years. She enjoyed dancing, the beach, fishing, and having good times with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton E. Poff. She is survived by her son Jim Poff and grandson Jason Poff of Nashville, TN; daughter, Carolyn Poff Mazingo of Boones Mill; granddaughter, Tiffany M. Loughlin; great-granchildren, Autumn Stinnette, Kirkland Loughlin, all of Roanoke. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Trinity Mission, Carilion Hospice of Franklin County, Mary Mack and friends during her life & death and Conner-Bowman Funeral Home and Crematory, Rocky Mount. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th floor, New York, NY 10001, in her memory.
