Mary Frances Sigmon

Mary Frances Sigmon, 79, of Rocky Mount, VA passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021. She was born March 6, 1942 the daughter of the late Joseph English and Pearlie Maude Scott English. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Lewis Sigmon and two daughters, Denise Sigmon and Vickie Newman. Surviving are her daughter, Doris Worrell (Terry); three sons, Dennis Sigmon (Susan), Lewis Sigmon (Cindy), David Ayers (Mandy); 15 grandchildren, Ashley Sigmon, Charity Sigmon, Caleb Sigmon, Jonathan Sigmon, Heather Trail, Becky Wimberly, Travis Norris, Dustin Parker, Caden Ayers, Carter Ayers, Kelly Rector, Samantha Blankenship, Hannah Linkous, Daniel Linkous, T. J. Gilman; 23 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Friday at Lynch Conner Bowman Funeral with Pastor Doug Barber officiating. Interment will follow in the Quinn Family Cemetery next to Maple Grove Cemetery, Ferrum, VA. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 noon to 2:00 P.M. before the service starts. Due to the mandates placed by the Governor of Virginia over the COVID-19 pandemic, we will be following the guidelines for social distancing and face masks.
