Matthew "Matt" Sink

Matthew Paul Sink, 40, of Roanoke Virginia, gained his Heavenly wings on Monday, October 9, 2023. He was joined 
in his journey by the love of his life, Melinda Headrick.

Matthew never lost "the child within the man". He was known for his big heart, mischievous grin and sense of fun. He loved the freedom of a motorcycle ride, the thrill of fireworks displays at Uncle Michael's and being able to "be there" if someone had a need. He was a "helper".

His daughter, Kylee, was his greatest sense of pride and he bragged about how beautiful and smart she was to anyone that would listen.

In recent years, he tenderly cared for his grandpa, giving him all the time and attention he needed. Long before that, he and his grandfather would play music together twice a month at the Homeplace Restaurant in Catawba. Matthew could play any stringed instrument and never failed to amaze his grandfather and so many others as he played by ear.

Matthew loved his family and friends, of whom there are so many. He will truly be missed. Leaving behind to cherish his memory forever are His daughter, Kylee Sink; his Brother, Joshua Ingram; his Mother and Step-Father, Tammy Javier and Mark Pugh; his Father and Stepmother, Paul and Reba Sink; his Stepbrother, Christopher Perdue; numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.

As an avid animal lover, in lieu of flowers, Matthew would want donations made to your favorite animal charity. 

Funeral services will be conducted 2 PM Wednesday, 18, 2023 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Hawkes officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Matt's family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home.
