Michael Townsend Broomhall

Michael Townsend (Mike) Broomhall age 50 of Callaway, VA passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018 in UVA Medical Center, Charlottesville, VA due to complications of surgery. We say goodbye to our beloved son, brother, uncle and best friend. Waffle House lost a loyal customer on August 9th, 2018. Mike was unique, loving, fiercely protective, and nice to his core. In short, a good guy. He enjoyed family, taking everything apart and putting it back together, and doing things his own way. He was employed and loved at Rocky Mount Tractor. He was a warm, smart, loving companion and a master scuba instructor with countless friends in that field. First and foremost he loved his 'babies'. Everyone in the world should be as lucky to have an Uncle Mike or a Grandpop like him. He was born in Bryn Mawr, PA on October 6, 1967, a son of John Townsend Broomhall and Donna Braunat Broomhall and was preceded in death by his aunt & uncle, Marjorie and Adrian Buyse “Maw & Uncle Adie”; grandparents, Eleanor and Ed Canter, Walter Braunat, Herman and Cynthia Broomhall and Eleanor Broomhall. In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his sisters, Stephanie Blaine Boyle (Mark Cramblitt) and Cinda Blaine Beach; nieces, Elizabeth Estelle Boyle and soon to be born son, Lynna Marjorie Boyle; nephew, George Liam Kohl Austin; great-nephew, Bryson Allen Kole Boyle; aunt and uncle, Wendy and Frank Kuczler; cousins, Laura Heywood, Daniel Kuczler and Lisa Kuczler. He is also survived by many other relatives and countless friends. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home to help cover his final expenses. Payments can be mailed or phoned in for debit or credit cards. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynch Conner-Bowman Funeral Home 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 12, 2018 with Rev. Kathryn Budzik officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
