Michael Motley

Michael Lloyd Motley, 65, of Ferrum, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014, at his home. He was born December 14, 1948, the son of the late Benjamin Lloyd Motley and Fannie Ellnor Wells Motley. Surviving are his wife, Betty Motley, of Ferrum; son, Michael Dean Motley and his wife, Jessica, of Ferrum; grandson, Logan Motley, and a baby granddaughter on the way; sister, Judy Hodges, of Rocky Mount; two brothers, Sammie Motley and Steve Motley, both of Rocky Mount; mother-in-law, Sue Johnson; niece, Jeanette; brother-in-law, Donnie Dent; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mountain View Memorial Park with Mr. Eric Ferguson speaking. Military Honors by the United States Army Honor Guard. Entombment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday before the service at the Mausoleum.
