Michelle Leigh Niday

Michelle Leigh “Shelly” Niday, age 25 of Roanoke passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017 at her home. Shelly was born in Roanoke, Virginia on May 15, 1992, a daughter of the late Thomas Dennis Marshall Niday, Jr. and Vanessa Doss Niday; and her nana, Nancy Niday. Shelly had a contagious smile and laugh and a heart of gold. She was selfless and never met a stranger. She was a loving mother who lived for her son. She will be greatly missed, loved by all and never forgotten. Shelly is survived by loving son, Yadin Marshall Niday-Brown; brother, Anthony “Tony” Marshall Niday; her Nana, Margie Irene Sparks Ratliff; nieces and nephews, A.J. Niday, Carmen Niday, Thomas Niday, Maddi Niday, Nate Niday and Carter Niday; aunts and uncles, Robert Doss, Terry and Betsy Doss, Joe Doss, Allen Smith and Jeff Niday; God-Children, Nylah and Kamryn Wright and Shylynn Thompson. Shelly is also survived by her best friends, Courtney Taylor, Shawna Thompson and Kimmie Alley; and many more special cousins and close friends. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 5 p.m. Monday, August 14, 2017 at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home with Pastor Denver Turner officiating.
