Mildred Anna Kesler Young

Mildred Anna Young, age 89, of Ferrum went home to be with her Lord, Wednesday night, October 24, 2012. She was a lifetime member of First Church of the Brethren of Ferrum. She retired Continental Homes. She was born November 12, 1922 the daughter of the late George and Vergie Kesler. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Marvin C. Young; brother, Willard Kesler; sister, Bernice Solomon. Surviving are her sister, Elvie Wright; brother, Herman (Nannie) Kesler; brother-in-law, G. A. (Joyce) Young; sister-in-law, Lora Wall; special nephews, T. J. Wright, Gary Solomon, Phillip Solomon, Roger Solomon; other nieces, nephews and dear friends. The family would like to thank her devoted Caregivers, Havela Wilkerson, Lori Pruitt, Angela Romas, Wanda Turner at Faith Home. Also, Rick Polland and Carilion Clinic Hospice for their excellent care during her illness. Memorials may be made to her Church; First Church of the Brethren of Ferrum, C/O Lucy Quinn, Thompson Ridge Road, Ferrum, VA 24088. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Lynch Conner Bowman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
