Myrtle Clingenpeel Anderson

Myrtle Clingenpeel Anderson, age 94 of Rocky Mount, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025. She was born August 9, 1930 to the late Joe P. Clingenpeel and Beulah G. Clingenpeel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Garland B. Anderson; daughter Brenda Ritenour; grandson Paul Bonney; brother Paul Clingenpeel and sister Barbara Ann Clingenpeel.

Myrtle and her husband Garland were members of Germantown Brick Church of the Brethren, where she taught Sunday School for years. She enjoyed her job as a clerk at the hardware store and always found time to garden and spend times with her cats. Myrtle was dearly loved by her family.

Surviving are her daughters Karen Bonney (Gerry), and April Anderson; grandchildren Julie, Jay and Pam; five great-grandchildren. Her family would like to thank Good Samaritan Hospice, Holland Perdue, Debbie Altice and Pastor Greg Broyles.
