Nancy Elaine Bowman

On Monday, November 28, 2022, Nancy E. Bowman, loving daughter, sister and aunt, passed away at the age of 77.

Nancy was born on August 20, 1945 in Rocky Mount, VA to Joel Kenneth, Sr. and Eloise (Thompson) Bowman. Nancy spent her childhood and school-age years in Callaway, VA. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Medical College of Virginia.

Upon graduation, Nancy remained in Richmond, VA working as a nurse to help bring countless lives into the world. She was a friend to all, stranger to none and her kindness and generosity will be remembered by all people, and animals, who knew her.

Nancy was preceded in death by her mother, Eloise and treasured aunt, Louise. She is survived by her father Kenneth and brothers JK and his wife Doris and John and his wife Sherry. Her extended family includes niece Tammy (Bowman) Orange, her husband Ken, son Gaven and daughter Bryanna, niece Jennifer Bowman and nephew Ryan Bayse, his wife Kathy and son Lincoln.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 2nd, at 11:00 AM at Antioch Church of the Brethren - 2996 Callaway Rd, Rocky Mount, VA 24151. The family will receive friends before the service, beginning at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow the service at the church cemetery.
