Nancy Jane Brooks

Nancy J. Brooks, 73, of Wirtz, Va, passed away on Oct 6, 2020 in her home. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy and her son in law, Tommy, of Dinwiddie, Va; her sister, Diana Myers, of Birmingham, Ala; one niece, Sherrie Christian (Alan) of Birmingham, Ala; one nephew, Greg Myers (Jenni) of Prosper, Tx; and one great nephew, Will Christian, of Tuscaloosa, Ala. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lydia Zeigler, her father, Daniel Ball, and her brother, Thomas Ball. Jane retired from Roanoke City Public Schools, where she worked as a teaching assistant at Preston Park Primary for 28 years. A graveside service will be held at Franklin Memorial Park, Wirtz, Va at 11am on Saturday, October 10th with Pastor Gary Hoffman officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jane's name to the American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Road, Suite 106A, Roanoke Va, 24018.
