Nancy Alley Carroll

Nancy Alley Carroll, age 87, of Rocky Mount, VA passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021. She was born November 12, 1934 to the late Garney and Emma Mae Alley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Carroll; her brothers, Douglas Alley, Curtis Alley, Erving Spencer; sisters, Vada Williams, Rebecca Nelson. She is survived by her brother, Fred Alley; 5 children, Teresa Truman, Garnett Carroll (Merry), Deborah Sutphin, Nathan Carroll, Emma Bowman. She also had 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews too numerous to count. God, Faith and Family meant everything to our mother. She left a legacy behind that will be a witness to her love and commitment for years to come. The family appreciates all the prayers, calls and concern for mom during this difficult time. We especially want to thank the staff, nurses and doctors in the ER at Franklin Memorial Hospital for the excellent care they provided to mom and to us as a family. We are also grateful to mom’s neighbor and friend, Bea Cannaday, for all the things she did for mom in the past few years. Her kindness and love was invaluable. There will be no service at this time. Mom’s favorite saying was “God is so good” and I’m sure she is still saying that as she is now safe at home with him.
