Nancy J. Mitchell

Mitchell, Nancy Jefferson Adkins. 88, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2014 at Lakewood Manor in Richmond, VA, where she had resided for several years. She was preceded in passing by her first husband Raymond G. Adkins and her second husband Mosby Mitchell. She is survived by her son Raymond G. Adkins, Jr. and his wife, Pamela, of Richmond and grandchildren Rachel Hastings (husband Matthew) of Charlotte, NC and Andrew Adkins of Richmond; two great- grandchildren, three stepchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to, Next Level Church Student Ministry, 4317 Stevens Mill Road, Matthews, NC 28104. Services will be held Saturday, October 4, at 11:00 am at Conner- Bowman Funeral Home (220 location) at 62 Virginia Market Place Drive, Rocky Mount, VA. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park.
