Nancy Jerlene Shook

Nancy Jerlene Shook age 84 of Penhook passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024. She was a special lady who enjoyed her daily ritual of afternoon soaps and reading. She had the best memory of anyone and she loved all of her family unconditionally. She will always be loved and missed by all.

She was born on September 8, 1940, a daughter of the late Tommy and Daisy Rigney Oakes. She was also preceded in death by he husband, Ernest Ray Shook; sisters, Mary Beasley, Lera Draucker, and Ina Jean Tolley; brother, Bruce Oakes.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Raye Walls; sister, Judy Harris; brother, Raymond Oakes; several nieces, nephews including her special niece, Donna English.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
