Nancy Bell Young

With heavy heart and sadness, the family of Nancy Young announces her death on Friday, September 21, 2012 Following a long battle with lung disease, Nancy courageously fought until the end. She has gone on to be with the Lord and the love of her life William Robert Young, who preceded her in death. Nancy was born the daughter of John Morgan and Mattie Wray Nichols on May 8, 1938. One of twelve children, she is survived by Fletcher Nichols of Callaway, Paul Nichols of Copper Hill, Harvey Nichols of Callaway and Gladys Aaron of Troutville. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her five children who loved her very much, John Young (Tina) of Rocky Mount, Judy Brown of Norfolk, Va, Susan Young of Ferrum, Rebecca Callahan (Brian) of Wichita, Kansas, and Ronnie Young (Joyce) of Ferrum; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, September 24 at 6:00 pm at Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel (Rt. 220) with Rev. Butch Cooner officiating.
